It was another HOT day today, my car said 101 degrees! I pulled out our little pool and let the kids play, they were dying while I blew it up. When I told them they could have as many otter pops as they wanted they were thrilled! Thank goodness for Costco.
I think tonight we'll have left overs and sandwiches. I can't get myself to use the stove or oven.
I need to get some screens in the windows so we can open them and not have all the flies come in. It's really annoying that we got the windows to open (thanks to Amy) but don't want them open due to the flies and spiders! I just killed a black widow in the back yard and found another one, but I told JC he has to get this one.
Who want to go see "17 Again" with me????

It was soooo hot yesterday! Oh my! So hot that we let the kids run through the sprinkler to cool off. I need to get a temperature gauge for out in the back, but weather.com said it got up to 88. Our backyard is usually a bit hotter though. And they said a high of 89 for today. I can't wait to go to the beach/ocean. Love it!!
Carter has gotten really good at his bike on our hill. It's hard to ride on our sidewalk because it's broken up in places and lots of cracks. So he would fall or get stuck. But now he can go down the hill and come back up all by himself! I have enterered the next stage of childhood! I can just sit outside and watch them ride! I used to walk up and down over and over with him till I was exhausted from leaning over his bike. Now that's all behind me. Yeah!!

I hope everyone had a great Easter. We didn't do too much, my ankle was hurting after church. But the kids got their baskets, so they were very happy.
The kids are back to school today after a week off for Spring Break. We had a nice relaxing break from the schedule, and now it's back to the grind.

Ok here is what you've all been waiting for!!!!!!!
Our kitty Sammy, who we got back in August but you all want to see so badly! So Sarah here he is, do you remember seeing him as a kitten? This is not a normal shot for Sammy, he runs from the kids a lot. But loves JC and I and sleeps with us most nights.

I am seeing the Orthopedic surgeon today for my ankle. Don't really know why, I'm not having surgery. I was suppose to get referred to the physical therapist, but now my doctor has changed her mind or things got messed up in the office. But if he can't help me, then I'll go to the physical therapist. My ankle hurts all day long and it's been 6 weeks. I have to wear a brace or my ankle feels like it will brake any second.
I started doing my elliptical this week and my ankle feels fine while doing it. There's no impact on it. I am so glad to be able to exercise, since I can't even go for a long walk. We tried that on Sunday and JC had to give me a piggy back ride all the way home!
Alright, I'm off to exercise now. And JC is coming home early today! He has had late nights 3 times this week.
Did I say that I broke our $350 camera we bought in January! I dropped in while the lense was pushed out, onto our metal fireplace insert! Arg!!!

JC found an old rusty hoop in the back of our house, behind the fence. Carter LOVES basketball, he even sleeps with this ball you see him throwing.
Here is the kids helping JC screw the hoop into the post.
We planted our garden, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, and radishes so far.

Lizzy watering the new seeds.

Today is Carters birthday, he turned 3! He had the best day, a huge party with 20 friends, water balloon toss, egg hunt, and tons of presents. His favorite gift was the basket ball he picked out with birthday money from grandma and grandpa Arrowsmith. He is sleeping with it right now.
He can ride his bike really well, and I put it together all by myself!! I can't believe I did it!
I didn't get a picture of all the kids at the party, but what a site! 20 kids running around! Everyone had a great time, and they party went very smooth. Probably because all the moms stayed. I figured I couldn't handle that many 2 year olds running around. Although some of the kids were older siblings.
Calvin made the cupcakes, they turned out great. Mikaala, Calvin and Lizzy filled up a huge bag of balloons for the water balloon toss, they all cleaned up and set up the back yard. They worked very hard to get the party ready. I am lucky to have such great kids. The other moms asked me how I got them to do so much, and I said I just tell them what we need to do, and we all work together to get it done.

Today was a Primary party for Mikaala, Calvin and Lizzy. So after dropping them off I picked up JC from ultimate frisbee and kidnapped him to IHOP!! He had no idea where we were going till I drove in. I'm so sneaky! His exact words were "As long as it's in your budget". When we sat down I was shocked at their prices! What happened to the $3.99 pancakes! The cheapest was over $6! And since I don't even like pancakes, I got french toast which is my favorite. I think the last time we were there was 3 years ago, when Linda came for Carter's birth. So it is possible that the prices went up since EVERYTHING has gone up in price here.
The last time I was in Costco I stood there staring at the honey decided if I really needed it (even though we were out), just because it was $10! Sheesh!!

JC and Lizzy went on their daddy date, returning the cable box. Then they went to Costco, Toys R Us and bought a game, and sat in the parking lot and played it. What a date! We had the extended cable for a special deal for 6 months, but now it's over. Too bad.

I went out with some girlfriends last night. We went to Chilis and I had the honey mustard salmon and loaded mashed potatoes, then to Esin for dessert. I got coconut cream pie... ohhhh sooo good! Everything was delicious! I love going out with the girls. JC hates it when I leave him.

Mikaala is singing a HSM3 song in our ward talent show, she sings her song all around the house. JC and I were going to swing dance, we had a routine all made up, but then I tore the ligaments in my ankle during volleyball and have been out for 2 weeks now. And since I'm compensating my wait more on my left leg, my knee is all swollen.

Carter has only gone to pre-school 3 times, I don't make him go if he doens't want to. He's still 2, for another 16 days.

Alright, that's it for now!
